Statement of Case:
This is a civil litigation case where James E. Getty and Angela M. Getty were engaged in a farming operation near Vinton, Iowa and were insured by Farm Bureau. On or about the 17th day of June, 2017, the Gettys returned from Des Moines, Iowa and drove by their cattle feeding facility. At that time, they noticed that someone had removed the lid to the circuit breaker board and had turned all of the circuit breakers to the off position. Subsequently, the Gettys performed a cattle count and determined that 64 of the healthiest and heaviest cattle had been stolen.... (continued)
