Statement of Case:
​In this case, Plaintiff Lino Naveja claims to have been injured by the negligence of Defendant Hy-Vee, Inc. Hy-Vee denies it committed negligence and affirmatively alleges that Mr. Naveja was at fault.

Injuries alleged:Plaintiff alleged he suffered a 2nd through 5th tarsometatarsal fracture dislocation, Lisfranc’s joint dislocation in his left foot, 2nd and 3rd metatarsal malalignment, and CCJ traumatic arthritis in the left foot, from a slip-and-fall incident on a patch of ice in a Hy-Vee parking lot on December 10, 2022. Plaintiff’s injuries required surgical repair.
